Saturday August 23rd I emceed Rajiv and Payal Sharma 25th wedding anniversary held at their restaurant the fabulous and ultra sheik Pranna on Madison Avenue.
The place was transformed into a ballroom, as I entered it felt like a stream of paparazzi because there were a few photographers snapping away while the guest were arriving.
As guests were enjoying their appetizers, I went around and interviewed some of them, then it was time to invite everyone into the other section of the room. The program started off with a dance from the famous and talented group – Bollywood Axion then a special number the Sharma’s and friends. It was time for the cake and a toast by Rajiv had something planned for his beautiful wife, since they never really had a proposal, he went down on one knee and proposed to her she was blown away!
It was time for some more live entertainment this time by a playback singer named Anushka Manchanda, she had won the 2002 Coke Popstars show and sang many of the Bollywood hits such as Golmaal, Dum Maro Dum, Allah Duhai Hai and the list goes on including singing a song for Grey Antomy ad titled What would you do? (you tube it you’ll love it)
It was a night full of fun, global cuisine, and lots of joy, a huge thank you to the Sharma’s for having me as their emcee
