Response to Jennifer Lopez’s song I ain’t your Mama

May 9, 2016

I was scrolling through Page Six this morning and saw a headline about JLO. I immediately clicked and started to read then ultimately stumbled across her music video. It begins with her acting out a scene which caught my attention right away.

The scene then transcends to a news reporter depicted by Jennifer, speaking to women directly and looking into the camera, telling women to stand up for themselves.  It sends a strong message about relationships. She sings “We used to be crazy in love, Can we go back to how it was?  When did you get too comfortable?” This is true for a lot of couples who tend to get comfortable when they start living like roommates. The romance goes out the door. She is also singing and acting out various domestic roles such as cooking and cleaning all day. I wonder where she got her inspiration for this song from because I doubt she is cooking and cleaning all day..lol
It is great when singers bring the truth to light, sometimes people need a reminder of how not to be and hopefully they make improvements.
